Movies.
Okay.

- Braveheart
- Lorna Dane

Let's play a game called, name movies that are about old Ireland/Scotland/Celtic-ness which don't suck like a hooker on a slow night.

Cause those are the only ones I can think of.

In edition to that, let's name movies with Paganism/Wicca.

- The Craft.

For this game, I'm going to allow movies which suck.

Mists of Avalon is the only one I can think of at the moment...possibly Merlin, the tv special as well. King Arthur isn't completely bad either.

King Arthur was pretty good.... if you change the names of everyone in it.

And also switch religion and ages around a lot....

What about 'The Wicker Man'?
well, it's not exactly family viewing and has a strong R Rating, but if you can manage to see it (The Original, not the new one they are filming), you will find it very very Pagan. It's from the 1970's, and the film quality quality really dates it, but it is a almost required viewing among the Wiccans and Pagans I know.

Here is something that is really scary.
I just got the word today that the Wicker Man remake trailer is out.
I hear that they tore apart the pagan aspect of it to fill it with special effects.

Here is the link:

I KNOW!!! I got really angry... my mentor and second mother is going to get on the tv stations here and talk about the wiker man original and what paganism is really about.

Ugh...looks like yet another film designed to exploit us.

At least we can serve as educators for those in our communities.
